OH NO THEY DIDNT! Adam Lambert has been slapped with an ugly lawsuit and still manages to look fabulous!
[photogallerylink id=69619 align=left] After a rock star performance with Queen at the MTV EMAs Adam has been served, and I’m not talking about lunch or dinner. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lambert is facing a lawsuit that alleges he was in violation when he appeared and competed on the eighth season of American Idol, as he was under a Music Services Agreement and a Co-publishing Agreement with a company called Colwel Platinum Entertainment.
Colwel Platinum tried to release an album called Beg For Mercy which was said to be recorded before and while Adam was on American Idol. The company says that Adam had a working agreement with them while he was on the show. So why didn’t they say anything before now? Maybe it could be because Representatives for Lambert sent takedown notices to Amazon.com to stop selling Beg For Mercy and complying with the letter, Amazon.com took the song down last month. Now Colwel Platinum is suing Lambert for making a false claim under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
I called Adam to get his side of the story and he said, and I quote, “WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?!”
Just joking, Adam has yet to officially respond to the lawsuit.
