Christina Aguilera just can’t catch a break!

Christina wiped her legs as she explained to the guests how Etta James was the one singer she aspired to be like. Afterward, Christina delivered a heartfelt vocal tribute to Etta  as she belted the Etta’s signature tune “At Last” that was by far one of the best deliveries of the iconic song I’ve ever heard.  Unfortunately, mother nature paid Christina a visit at one of the wost times ever! On stage, in front of everyone, in a skirt.

Gosh this has been such a rough year for Christina. Whether she’s being ridiculed for her weight, wearing inappropriate attire, public intoxication, or her possible drug rehab stints, she just can’t seem to get away from the  scrutiny.

Christina discussed her performance with CNN:

“I went through the lyrics last night, and I did rehearsal … and it took on a whole new meaning having been invited by her close friends and family to sing that classic song at her service,” she said. “And I started crying every time I started to sing it, and I thought, ‘My gosh, what if that happens tomorrow? I just want to do justice to Etta James.’ She meant the whole world to me, and it was a huge honor to be here today.”

Over all I thought her tribute was outstanding. I think Etta would have been proud of the great job Christina did.
