Mariah Carey wants to spice things up on American Idol, starting with plain Jane Ryan Seacrest.

She wants everyone on the show to be as pretty as she is.. and since she can’t help scary Nicki Minaj, she wants to pretty up Ryan. She has suggested to the American Idol stylists that they update Ryan’s look with something more youthful and funky.

Mariah suggested that they maybe dye his hair a funky color and dress more casually to get a more youthful and trendy feel to the show.. and that he lighten up a bit.

So far, no one has taken her advice and suggested that Ryan quit dressing like an insurance agent… but Idol would get a whole lot cooler in my book if Ryan walked out with a Mohawk with green tips. And if he ditched the tighty whities. I don’t know for sure that’s his drawers of choice but he does walk like he has a perma wedgie.
