No more traveling to find a Trader Joe’s near you!

The specialty grocery store opened the doors to its first Houston location today at 8 a.m. in the old Alabama Theater.

Wait, INSIDE the Alabama Theater? So is it a NEW place??

Trader Joe’s Manager David Fuller said, “Because this is a historical building, Trader Joe’s had to keep its original façade, but what’s inside, is all new.”

And if you’re worried about parking being an issue, don’t! He added, “It’s really a pretty large parking lot, larger in the back. I had a lot of people coming by, saying they’ll walk.”

“About 80 percent of our products and anything under TJ private label has no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and no preservatives,” Fuller said.
