Gerard Butler has a very big regret in life. No, it’s not that stupid surfer movie, Chasing Mavericks. Or The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl. His biggest regret is letting his true love go.

He briefly dated Jessica Biel while they were filming the movie ‘Playing for Keeps’ together. She was on a break from Justin Timberlake at the time. She and Gerard were photographed on dates and riding on a motorcycle.. It was fun but she wanted more. She was after a commitment. She got super serious with him really fast so he dumped her. He said that he wasn’t ready for a serious relationship and sent her packing.

Justin was extremely jealous of Jess’ newfound relationship and once she was available again, he scooped her up and put a ring on it.

Well that’s Gerard’s biggest regret in his life. He thinks that Jessica is ‘the one that got away’ and he wishes that he would have treated her with the respect that she deserves. He’s happy that she finally got what she wanted, a ring, a wedding and a husband, but he thinks that he missed out by not making her his wife.
