It may have been a pivotal football game for the Crimson Tide’s quarterback AJ McCarron but his beauty queen girlfriend was the one scoring all of the love!

During Monday’s football game pitting the Alabama Crimson Tide against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, current Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb seemed to be the superstar of the sporting event.

It was during Monday’s BCS National Championship Game that Webb’s popularity (and Twitter followers) skyrocketed after a camera shot showed the beauty queen cheering her boyfriend McCarron onto victory. She even shared a picture on Twitter of her and her boo and a loving message wishing McCarron well:

Legendary sports announcer Brent Musburger seemed to take a real liking to Webb and acknowledged or rather ogled over her presence in the stands.

As a result of her recognition, her Twitter followers spiked. Her number of followers was approximately 2,000 followers. As of 1 a.m. ET Tuesday, she was above 104,000. One of those that reportedly followed her on Twitter was Miami Heat star LeBron James. But for whatever reason, James later unfollowed Webb.

By the way… the final score against the Fighting Irish and the Crimson Tide was 42-14, Alabama.(Someone out there still cares about the score of the game… right?)
