Michael J. Fox Joins Coldplay On Stage For ‘Johnny B. Goode’

Total geek moment here.

Back To The Future is hands down one of the best movies of all time. I will argue this to my death. So when Coldplay kicked off their tour over the weekend with a show in New Jersey, to see what happened in the above video was the best moment in live music all year.

Chris Martin’s son appears in a video played on the big screen that he would like the band to play the song from his favorite movie, “Back To The Future.” So the band agrees, and goes into the song I didn’t think of at first in reference to the movie. “Earth Angel” by The Penguins.

But halfway through the song, Chris announces their special guest Michael J. Fox! He comes out even playing guitar to the song just like the scene towards the end of BTF1. Though Fox’s guitar skills were not so great. But there’s no telling if he was imitating the way his character Marty McFly started to botch the song in the movie or not.

After the performance they go right into the most pivital moment of Fox’s guitar skills from the movie, Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.” And they crushed it!

In case you need a refresher of the great scene from Back To The Future, here it is for you.
