For Houston Show, Disturbed Breaks Out Powerful Performance Of ‘Sound Of Silence’

On Saturday night, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion had a packed house for the Disturbed show.

While pretty much 98% of the bands music is loud, hard and easily categorized as ‘metal,’ their most recent cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic song “The Sound Of Silence” has showed a lighter side of Disturbed. Even gaining them so new fans who would not take to their previous hard rock catalog so well.

For this performance Disturbed even brought out Alter Bridge lead singer Myles Kennedy to assist in the lead vocals. What happened as a result was a simply beautiful performance that was only seen in this way at the Houston stop of their tour.

Lead singer David Draiman encouraged fans to break out their cell phones for this performance, illuminating the Woodlands pavilion in a simply beautiful setting for this performance.
