Sending the kids back to school is more expensive in 2016 than it’s ever been before. According to a recent survey 11% of parents are even turning to their parents for a little assistance to help get the little ones back in school. And it’s not a huge surprise, with it costing $244 PER CHILD. That’s the average, so if you factor in that many families can’t afford to spend much of anything, that pushes the total considerably up for the other families.
These are the main costs parents get hit with according to the Daily Mail:
1. New clothes and shoes, $130.
2. Equipment for their sports or clubs, $33.
3. School supplies and a backpack, $47.
4. Technology, $34.
So, if you’re feeling the pain of covering all the expenses of Back To School, just know you’re not alone!
