Did The Ghost Of Prince Help The Packers Score Against His Hometown Vikings?

Silly question, at first that is.

On Sunday night, the Minnesota Vikings took on the Green Bay Packers at their brand playing field, U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. But what is a little bit crazy is the first touchdown to take place in the new stadium that sits in Prince’s original stomping grounds!

No, it wasn’t for the Vikings either. It was the Packers that scored the first touchdown in the new stadium. Where it gets eerie is QB Aaron Rodgers completed the TD pass to Jordy Nelson. Why is that eerie? Because Prince’s full name is Prince Rodgers Nelson! Rodgers….Nelson. Maybe just a coincidence?

Either way, Prince’s home state team played homage to him during their halftime show with a very cool ‘Purple Rain’ performance.
