Woodlands High School senior football player, Grant Milton was rushed to the hospital with an injury over the weekend that left him in a coma.
The community has come together to raise funds to help the family pay for medical expenses and among the list of donors on the Go Fund Me Page is J.J. WATT!!
Watt donated $10,000 to the Milton family and left a sweet message.
“If there’s anything that I can do to help, please let me know. Sending my best wishes to Grant and the entire Milton family.”
“The senior linebacker was rushed away from McLane Stadium in Waco on Saturday for emergency surgery with a possible brain injury. He collapsed on the field during the playoff game. ‘He was sitting on the bench and suddenly started throwing up. It just happened all of a sudden, and nobody saw anything because he wasn’t on the field, and the game just kept going on,” said classmate Bryn Stephens.'”
The Milton family posted an update saying Grant is showing signs of improvement and his medications have been reduced.
“Grant is still in critical condition and in a coma. His recent CT scan continues to improve. His medications have been reduced today and he showed positive signs of movement and strength in his upper body. His vital signs are strong and anyone who knows Grant would say he is STRONG and SPIRITED. The doctors indicate he is trending in the right direction and that his youthfulness and strength are on his side.”
This is why we love J.J. Watt! He is truly humble and compassionate and clearly cares about his community.
It’s amazing to see everyone coming together to help the Milton family. Grant is also in our thoughts and we can’t wait for him to find out J.J. Watt also joined in!
